Armed Robbery
Of all the different types of robbery, armed robbery is by far the most serious. This crime involves using force and intimidation, as well as a dangerous weapon, while stealing their property. Armed robbery is punishable by 10 to 99 years in prison without the possibility of parole, probation, or suspension of the sentence. When the dangerous weapon used is a firearm, the penalties are even more severe with prison sentences increasing by five years.
